Our Journey Forward
The Nubimancy Project blends fantasy storytelling with practical Microsoft technology education. We’re building a fully functional Business Central partner ecosystem wrapped in an engaging narrative framework. Here’s where we are and where we’re headed.
Phase 1: Foundation ✅ (Completed)
The groundwork is laid. We’ve established:
- ✅ World Concepts & Narrative Framework – The fantasy setting that makes learning engaging
- ✅ Website & Community Hub – Project home and documentation sites
- ✅ Knowledge Repository – World-building, lore, and teaching frameworks
- ✅ Project Infrastructure – Version control, repos, and development environment
What This Means: The foundation is ready. We now have the narrative wrapper and infrastructure to build real technical demonstrations.
Phase 2: Business Central Extension Ecosystem 🔄 (Current – Q4 2025)
This is where the magic happens—literally building the core technical deliverable:

- 🔄 Demo Dataset – Realistic data to populate the ecosystem
- 🔄 Multi-App Patterns – Demonstrating how complex BC solutions are architected

Teaching Focus: AL development, Business Central extension patterns, multi-app ecosystems, data modeling, and real-world partner solution architecture.
The Fantasy Connection: Each hero’s business (Bran’s logistics, Thorin’s brewing, Delyra’s boutique, Rini’s arenas, Weltina’s preserve) maps to actual BC modules and functionality. The Aethernet Assembly represents platform governance and shared services.
Phase 3: Integration & Advanced Tooling ⏱️ (Q1-Q2 2026)
Expanding the ecosystem with the modern tools and practices that BC partners actually use:

The Approach: Real Code, Engaging Story
The Nubimancy project teaches through practical demonstration. We’re not writing abstract tutorials—we’re building a fully functional partner ecosystem using the same tools and practices that real BC partners use every day.
The fantasy narrative makes this engaging and memorable. The heroes’ business challenges mirror real partner scenarios. But the code, configurations, DevOps pipelines, and Azure integrations are all real and reusable.
When you learn how Bran’s logistics company manages inventory across twenty cities, you’re actually learning BC warehouse management and multi-location functionality. When you see how the Aethernet Assembly governs the Nubimancy Engine, you’re learning Azure platform architecture and DevOps governance.
